Michael Basham LRPS

Royal Photographic Society
It is important that you know and trust your photographer before you commission him for any work.
A quick run down of Mike's life and qualifications hopefully will 'break the ice' for you and give you an idea of his expertise and care before you meet him.
Always working to the highest standards, Mike is attentive to detail, and listens carefully to your requests, making sure you have the photographs you want.
Shot on location in Iceland, stuffed, and placed in a chair in the living room in front of the TV
Whilst a teenager, Mike's interest in photography was encouraged by an extremely good Professional Photographer. His tutor group won the contract to supply all publicity photographs when the Tall Ships Race started from Falmouth in 1966. Mike was an extremely active member of this team, both taking photographs and developing & printing for submission to newspapers.

His training continued in photographic studios where he learnt the basics of Wedding and Portrait Photography. Whilst working as a Research Chemist, Mike's interest in photography continued. He took various training courses, and worked in a free-lance capacity. In 2003 he purchased a studio and retail outlet in Dursley, undertook a CRB check, and joined the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.

He has since joined the British Institute of Professional Photography and, after submitting a panel of work to the adjudicators, has acheived Licentiateship of the Institute.
Upon "retirement" he has acheived his Licentiate of the Royal Photographis Society and is enjoying opportunities to explore new aspects of photography as well as continuing to maintain his expertise in the main stream.
