Kirk Maughold

Kirk Maughold is the site of an early Christian monastery and contains a large collection of early Christian and Viking carved stone crosses.
Saint Maughold, who died in 498, was a catholic missionary, bishop of Man and patron saint of the Manx people. He had
supposedly been an Irish prince and robber who was converted by St. Patrick and afterwards sailed to the Isle of Man.
