Peel
Peel Castle is on St. Patrick's Isle, a small island connected to Peel Hill by a causeway. It is thought the castle was started by Magnus Barelegs (King Magnus lll of Norway) and then extended by William le Scrope, 1st Earl of Wiltshire.

Peel is the most active fishing port on the Isle of Man, is a major port for the importation of fuel oils and hosts the occasional cruise ship visit. A wooden statue by Nick Barlow, Fenella stands overlooking the harbour. She was commissioned in 2011 by the Peel Carnival Committee, and is a character in Sior Walter Scott's 1823 novel, "Peveril of the Peak", which was set around Peel Castle.
